Process development

Processing technology is based upon many years of commercial experience and knowledge derived from the company’s extensive development laboratory. Our major focus is to establish robust and reliable body preparation processes. Most of this work is concentrated on the understanding of the colloidal processes and chemical mechanisms of different powders in suspension. Only proven chemically compatible lubricants, dispersants and binder systems are used.

Manufacturing of defined components requires optimized forming processes and machining strategies. Prototypes developed and optimized in the laboratory are used to demonstrate technical viability. Laboratory developed prototypes are then produced and optimized using pilot plant equipment which can be used for evaluating larger scale production. Practicing this development strategy forms the basis for a smooth transition to larger scale commercial production in a cost effective manner.
